Immitracker & Canadian Immigration Updates, May 2023
Over the past couple of weeks, a lot has continued to change in the Canadian immigration space and at Immitracker as well! A summary of the changes can be found below:
The IRCC strike ended on May 1st after lasting a little bit over a week
According to the Immigration Minister, around 100,000 applications were impacted due to the work being stopped
The IRCC website states that although service has resumed, there might still be some impact to returning to full capacity over the next few days or weeks
Express Entry draws continue, a couple happened since April 26th
In the 11th draw held at the end of April, 3,500 candidates were invited in a general Express Entry draw with a cutoff score of 483
A 12th, PNP specific draw was held on May 10th with only 589 candidates being invited with a cutoff score of 691
Startup Visa Tracker - new cases added!
The Immitracker Startup Visa Tracker is now up to almost 20 cases being actively tracked
The tracker was launched earlier this year to help candidates with tracking some of the longest Canadian immigration application processing times
