Immitracker Canada: Study Permit Tracker Launch

Immitracker is excited to announce the launch of our newest visa tracker for Canada: the study permit tracker. Immitracker is an immigration and visa application tracker and service marketplace for immigrants relocating to Canada and Australia, a growing community of 182,000+ members!

Canada has emerged as one of the preferred destinations for international students seeking a high-quality education and a multicultural experience. To study in Canada as a foreign student, one must obtain a study permit (a student visa). The Canadian study permit is an official document issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that allows international students to study at designated learning institutions (DLIs) in Canada. To apply for a Canadian study permit visa, prospective students must fulfill certain criteria and follow the application process laid out by the IRCC.

You can find the new study permit tracker at the following link. Getting started and adding your case is incredibly simple! The step-by-step guide below will walk you through the process of creating an account, navigating the trackers, and adding your case into it.

Step 1: Create an Account / Sign In

You can navigate to the main Immitracker product page by clicking Get Started anywhere on this website or through the following link.

Step 2: Navigate to the Study Permit Tracker

You can find the study permit application tracker by clicking on the following link or by clicking on the Study Permit Tracker under the “Canadian Visa Timeline Trackers”.

Step 3: Add Your Case

Adding your case to the tracker is simple! Click on the “Add a case” button found at the top of the tracker.

Step 4: Enter Case Information

You can anonymously enter your study permit application case information into the tracker. There are a few mandatory fields that need to be inputted upon case creation such as Nationality, Application Status, Submission Date, etc.

The rest of the fields can be updated as you receive additional information from the government and as the application moves along.

Step 5: Update Case Information

You can update your existing case information by clicking on the “My Cases” button above the tracker. Within the “My Cases” tab, select the case that you would like to update (in case you were tracking more than one).

Once within the detailed view of the case, click on the “Edit Case” button to navigate to the full case view. You can update the case with the latest communication dates from the IRCC and application status / decision.

So why use a visa application tracker, you might ask? The government of Canada only provides approximate estimates for visa application processing times. Those estimates aren’t always detailed nor insightful and many visa applicants feel like they’re left in the dark for a while until the government provides them with an occasional update. Waiting for an update regarding highly important visa and immigration documentation and having your life in limbo is stressful for many: which is how Immitracker was created.

Tech powered and community driven, the trackers display the timelines of visa and immigration applications, their progress by program, submission time, location, and many other factors. Through enhanced analytical features, users can gain in-depth insights and an understanding of where they stand in their visa application process and when they can hope to move on to the next step - all powered by the data voluntarily provided by thousands of visa applicants going through the same exact process as them.

Through Immitracker, users have discovered when their applications were getting held up, when their important documents were getting lost in the mail, that it wasn’t only one application but multiple others that were taking much longer to process and many other unique insights that wouldn’t have been possible to determine through the government website or digging through immigration forums.

The Canadian study permit is an essential requirement for international students wishing to pursue higher education in Canada. Hundreds of thousands of students choose Canada as their study destination every single year. Trackers such as this one can help them better understand when they can start planning for their next major life chapter.
